Indirect pulp caps can be very helpful to patients who can not afford expensive treatment plans involving root canal therapy, posts and crowns. In cases where a tooth has deep decay but a crown is not necessarily required, and that the pulp is diagnosed with reversible pulpitis, indirect pulp cap can be attempted and provided good technique for caries removal and field isolation and disinfection, then excellent success rate can be achieved.
